Tours on Tap A Hit!
On October 4, 2019 more than 200 people gathered at the Fort Wayne Three Rivers Water Filtration Plant for tours, beer tasting and to learn more about river water qualtiy protection and improvement programs. The first ever "Tours on Tap" event was organized by Fort Wayne City Utilities to show how great water makes great beer -- and Fort Wayne has both. Local brewers including Chapman's Brewing, Co., GnomeTown Brewing Co., Hop River Brewing Company, Summit City Brewworks Mad Anthony Brewing Company and Ambrosia Orchard offered tastes of their brews and City Utilities provided tours of the plant that makes the City's award-winning water. Proceeds from ticket sales were donted to the St. Joe Initiative to help fund its programs. The St. Joe Initiative, Maumee Watershed Alliance and Northeast Indiana Water Trails were on hand to share information. Look for this to become a regular event!
